Last Saturday the Team performed an area familiarization in the Goni area. Taking out three of our Unit owned pieces of rolling stock and a couple of POVs we put our four newest members behind the steering wheel. The recent snow combined with an overnight low of only 42˚ in the City generated some interesting and very changeable trail conditions.
The roads around Sugarloaf, Nine Hill, and towards McClellan Peak ranged from dry on the South side, to rivulets of water running down them, to ponding and mud, and finally heavy snow. It was a gorgeous day, though, and a great opportunity to exercise equipment and personnel. Great to have Debra, Sierra, Harry, and Jacob ready for Call-outs making a Team total of 27. Which is outstanding!
